Troubleshooting
Most problems have a quick fix. Start by opening the affected job in the Job Queue and expanding its Log — the error message usually points straight at the cause.
A download fails or a site "stopped working"
- Open the failed job in the Job Queue, expand its Log, and read the error. Use Copy log if you want to save the details.
- For video/audio sites specifically, go to Settings ▸ Tools and click Update now to refresh the bundled download engine, then Retry the job.
- Check that the link still works in a browser and isn't private, region-locked, or removed.
"Download tools aren't ready yet" banner
The download utilities rely on bundled media tools. If they haven't finished setting up, the banner appears — let setup complete, then reopen the panel.
A transcription is slow or inaccurate
- Larger models are more accurate but slower; smaller models are faster but less accurate. Switch models in the Transcriber's Model picker.
- The first use of any model includes a one-time download before transcription starts.
- For clearer results on noisy or accented audio, try a larger model.
Background removal looks wrong
- Use Preview first image to check your background choice before running a full batch.
- Very low-contrast subjects (subject blends into the background) are the hardest cases.
Jobs seem stuck or slow
- Many jobs run at once up to the Job concurrency limit in Settings ▸ General; the rest wait their turn. Raise the limit to run more in parallel, or lower it if your computer or connection is under strain.
- If the bandwidth exchange shows Throttled · in use, that's expected while you're actively using the network and doesn't stop your jobs.
The window disappeared
Closing the window only hides it to the tray. Click the tray icon (near the clock) to bring it back. The app is still running.
Clipboard paste was blocked
If a Paste button reports that clipboard access was blocked, copy the content again and retry, or paste manually into the input box.
I want to stop bandwidth sharing entirely
There's no in-app switch. Quitting the app from the tray stops sharing while it's closed, and uninstalling ends participation permanently. See The bandwidth exchange.
