Updates

Spark Tray keeps itself up to date automatically.

• It checks for updates in the background and downloads them when available. You'll see a subtle indicator in the sidebar footer while an update downloads, and an Update ready — Restart to update prompt when it's ready.
• You can check manually any time from Settings ▸ Updates or the tray menu's Check for updates….
• Choose your release channel in Settings: Stable for tested releases, or Beta to receive updates earlier.
• When an update is downloaded, click Restart to update to install it. Your work isn't lost — finished jobs remain in your history.

Automatic updates apply to installed builds of the app.

The bundled download engine

Separately, the bundled download engine used by the download utilities can be updated on its own from Settings ▸ Tools. This is the fix for most cases where a particular site suddenly stops downloading.
